Hohensalzburg Castle was built in 1077. It is the largest fully preserved castle in Central Europe and one of the most exciting attractions you can visit during a trip to the city or when on holiday with your family. Discover the enigmatic splendour of the state rooms that have been redesigned.
A journey across the globe for the whole family. Approximately 800 animals from all five continents can be observed at close quarters in Hellbrunn. You can visit the zoo in the evening until 11pm every Friday and Saturday during the summer!
House of Nature
You will marvel at the giant aquarium with its exotic marine animals. In the reptile zoo dangerous amphibians can be seen frolicking about and you can enjoy exciting experiments in the Science Centre.
Sound of Music
“The von Trapp Family” The Sound of Music is a very well-known and popular movie in English speaking countries. Due to high demand, a bus company decided to start its own tour dedicated to this movie that was filmed in 1966. Join the “Sound of Music Tour” during your family holiday and visit the iconic film locations in Salzkammergut and through the historic city of Salzburg.
Hallein Salt Worlds
Fun and adventure await you in the kingdom of “white gold”. You can take the mine train right inside the mountain and whizz down two long miners’ slides to the subterranean salt lake.
Mozart & Salzburg
Would you like to walk in the footsteps of Salzburg’s most famous son during your visit to the city? What happened at number 9 Getreidegasse? Why is Hanniball Square so special? In Salzburg everything revolves around the exceptional talents of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart who was born here on 27 January 1756. You can visit his birthplace and his former residence, or you and your family can join the popular Mozart City Tour.
Salzburg Cathedral is located in the historic centre of Salzburg, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is the most important ecclesiastical building in the city.
Mirabell Palace & Mirabell Gardens The palace was originally called Altenau Palace and was given by the Prince Bishop Wolf Dietrich von Raitenau to his mistress Salome Alt as a token of his love. It was built in 1606 but damaged in an extensive fire. It is now called Mirabell Palace and is the official residence of the Mayor of Salzburg. There are many beautiful sights to enjoy in the Mirabell Gardens, including the Pegasus Fountain, the Grand Fountain, the Hedge Theatre, the Dwarf Garden, the Rose Garden and the Orangery.

In 1615 a place was meant to be created like no other.
