Hiking and skiing holiday in the nature reserve of the Salzkammergut region.
Due to the current situation of the circulating virus COVID-19 we decided to close the JUFA Hotel until April 30, 2020.
Our colleagues in the JUFA Booking Center are available for questions about your booking from Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. You can find answers to questions about your booking in the FAQs.
Hiking, swimming and skiing in one of the most beautiful nature reserves in the Alps! Located on the Romantic Road and close to the ski resort Kasberg, the JUFA hotel is away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and from the crowds, in the mountain village of Grünau in the Almtal valley.
Hiking, climbing, swimming and cycling in the summer. In the winter, enjoy a magical mountain world in the small but very well equipped ski area Kasberg. Outdoor enthusiasts of every age group depart from the JUFA Hotel Almtal*** in the Salzkammergut region to explore clear mountain lakes and rugged mountain ranges. Or they slalom down well-groomed slopes. In any case, it is well worth stopping over in one of the quaint huts – a refreshment with a hearty snack, lovingly prepared from local products. It is a source of strength and lifts the spirits!!
After pleasant day trips, we recommend a visit to the Finnish sauna or the aromatic herb laconium; the kids may still play on the large outdoor playground or win at table tennis games. Our café with a sun terrace is a meeting point, not only during the day: Let the day end cosily with a glass of wine under the stars! You don´t have to leave your dog at home or drop him off at a pet care centre, we are a dog-friendly hotel and welcome your four-legged friend!
This JUFA hotel in Upper Austria is one of the most beautiful seminar hotels: With its modern facilities, a stunning natural scenery and numerous sports facilities for groups, it convinces seminar and workshop participants – whether decision-makers or trainees.
There is an excursion destination to fit anyone´s interests! A public bus stop is just 100 meters from the hotel. How about a trip to the longest fixed-rope climbing route in Europe, the Tassilo-via ferrata? Or a trip to enchanting Gmunden with a boat trip across Lake Traunsee? Capricorns, brown bears, lynxes and wolfs can be observed closely in the Wild Animal Park Cumberland, an absolute highlight for kids. The region features a strong awareness of nature and regional resources and is therefore the ideal holiday resort for conservationists and sustainability enthusiasts.
