Pure Kempten! Pure fun and adventure!
3 days full board accommodation and activity programme
Enjoy three days in the oldest town in Germany. During a guided town tour, you will learn fascinating stories from more than 2,000 years of the town’s history, which are far from boring.
You are in charge of the following activity programme and can decide what you want to do from one day to the next: Visit the APC (Archaeological Park Cambodunum) and discover how the Romans lived in the Allgäu 2,000 years ago. At the Castle Museum (Burgenmuseum) you will not only get fascinating insights into the lives of the old knights of Allgäu, but you will also get to not only see, but to also touch armour, chain mail shirts and helmets.
The Alpine Museum is a fantastic place to gain particularly impressive insights into the development of alpine sports and the associated dangers. Or maybe you could visit the Allgäu Museum, which will give you the opportunity to know and understand the region and its people a little better. You can decide what you will find the most interesting!
Day 1 Guided town tour of Kempten and film evening
Experience Kempten in a completely different way. On the guided town tour, which includes a multi-vision show in the Erasmus Chapel, you will travel back in time together through 2,000 years of history. Through the telling of legends and stories, you will learn what was involved in the construction of the town according to the Roman model and how the town has changed over the centuries. The fates of individuals and individual adventures make this guided tour particularly exciting and engaging.
During the evening, you will have the chance to enhance what you have learned through watching a film on the theme of the Romans.
Day 2 Museum visit
A visit to the museum is on the itinerary today. It is up to you which museum you would like to visit. Did the town tour yesterday pique your interest in the Middle Ages? If so, the Allgäuer Castle Museum (Burgenmuseum) is definitely the right place for you. Or, perhaps you can’t get enough of the Roman history of this town? In this case, you should plan to visit to the Cambodunum Archaeological Park where you can marvel at many relics from these times.
Or, perhaps you are interested in a different and very exciting facet of the alpine world and will decide on a visit to the Alpine Museum where you will learn all about the mountain terrain and the many adventurous exploits that have happened there. Or, maybe you will opt for the Allgäu Museum and learn more about the region and its people. Admittedly, the decision is not easy, but we know that you won’t be disappointed whatever you decide!
During the evening, it will be time to relax in the CamboMare Leisure Pool in Kempten where you are certain to have a great time.
