Simply step outside the JUFA St. Martin am Tennengebirge, strap on your skis and descend to the valley station where a bus awaits to provide free travel to the surrounding ski resorts.
The Dachstein West, Gosau – Russbach – Annaberg resort offers winter sports enthusiasts a range of slopes for beginners, intermediate skiers and experts.
The downhill routes on Mount Karkogel near Abtenau are ideal for families and for those who are new to the slopes. There are also lifts which are used by the St. Martin Ski School to coach individual guests and groups who wish to have support in learning to ski. St. Martin is also the highest village in the Lammer Valley.
All of which means that good snow conditions are guaranteed and that nothing can stand in the way of an enjoyable winter holiday.
Plenty of variety is also available in the form of 40 km cross-country skiing routes, cross-country skiing schools, the natural ice rink at the Lake Park, curling rinks and horse-drawn sleigh rides.
Guided night tours with cross-country skis, climbing skins and headlamps are a particularly thrilling way of exploring the romantic winter landscape. The whole family will also enjoy sledging on the Buttermilchalm natural toboggan run or zooming down the Oberscharten toboggan run.
A snow tubing run almost 400 metres in length is also located directly adjacent to the JUFA St. Martin am Tennengebirge!
